An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
